New Site Design - 6/18/09
As of June 18, 2009, Ramapo Valley Weather has begun using a new site design. The previous design had been used for Ramapo Valley Weather since April of 2006. The new design is centered in the browser (as opposed to the old design's left alignment), has a new & larger banner, a differently oriented menu bar, and is wider in order to accomodate full-size images. Also, the homepage now incorporates graphs in addition to weather statistics.Live Weather From the Station Now Available!
As of Early June 2009, Ramapo Valley Weather now features a page with weather data that is updated every two seconds directly from the weather station. The Live Weather page, which can be accessed from the left menu bar, is made possible by Cumulus weather station software. While the rest of the site will continue to be updated every 10 minutes with a more comprehensive set of weather data, the advantage to live weather is that all weather parameters are updated at the instant they change. The live weather page will be especially useful during windy days, thunderstorms, cold/warm frontal passages, and other times during which the weather changes rapidly, but is also beneficial just to see the exact weather conditions at any given moment.Oakland, NJ WX/RVW is a part of the following weather station groups:
